Updated: Sep 24

TACS' Tips for finding out if your CONTRACTOR is LEGIT

Hiring a contractor might be a little tricky sometimes. To help you find a Legitimate Contractor in the Philippines, here are some tips you should consider:

1. Ask for the following business documents first before you have a meeting with them:

  • Business Permits such as DTI or SEC, Mayor's Permit, BIR Registration, SSS, Philhealth & Pag Ibig (If they only have the DTI/SEC, Mayor's & BIR it's good enough)

  • Ask if they have BIR Official Receipts

  • Ask if they have a PCAB License (This kind of license is for legitimate contractors in the Phils.)

2. Check their PCAB License if legit and not fake. Search for their company's name on the PCAB CIAP Website link below:

3. Ask for a COMPANY PROFILE to see their latest finished projects, ask for their previous clients' contact details for your reference

4. Google them for any NEGATIVE Feedbacks , check their social media as well for any negative comments

The 4 simple tips above can help you narrow down the possible issues and problems of your candidate contractor. Choosing a Legit Contractor will lessen your headache and possible problems in the future. A legitimate contractor is accountable for their actions ✅
